Inferior rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with a demarcation line was detected in a 36-year-old woman who complained of a shadow in the vision of left eye for 4 months. Retina was successfully reattached with a conventional scleral buckling surgery. Three years after the surgery, she presented with a complaint of metamorphopsia in same eye. Fundus examination revealed a subtle subretinal hemorrhage at the demarcation line. Fluorescein angiography demonstrated an extrafoveal subretinal neovascular membrane which was successfully obliterated with thermal laser photocoagulation. Clinicians should be aware of the possibility of subretinal neovascular membrane formation at the demarcation line. Keywords : Demarcation line, laser photocoagulation, retina, subretinal choroidal neovascular membrane
