Early Recurrence in Central Serous Chorioretinopathy Treated with Intravitreal Bevacizumab
Altan GÖKTAŞ1, Yusufcan YURTSEVER1
M.D., Kayseri Training and Research Hospital, Eye Clinic, Kayseri/ TURKEY 33-year-old man admitted to our clinic with a complaint of blurred vision that was present for last 10 days. As a result of ophthalmic examination, fundus flouressent angiography and optic coherence tomography, the patient was diagnosed as central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR). So, the patient was treated with 1.25 mg intravitreal bevacizumab. The resolution of neurosensorial serous retinal detachment and accompanied increase in visual acuity were detected approximately 1 month after the injection. However, the recurrence of detachment was observed approximately 3.5 months after the injection. In conclusion, although bevacizumab seems to be a promising alternative in treatment of CSCR, it should be kept in mind that recurrence may be encountered at early period. Keywords : Central serous chorioretinopathy, bevacizumab, recurrence
