Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

M.D. Professor, Istanbul Retina Institute, Inc. Şişli Istanbul/TURKEY Central serous chorioretinopaty is a common retinal disease characterized by serous retinal detachment at the posterior pole of the fundus. It is seen typically in young and middle –aged men with no systemic symptoms. Widespread use of indocyanine green angiography proved that primer defect is hyperpermeability of the choroid. This review aims to describe epidemiology, clinical features, risk factors, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment options of central serous chorioretinopaty.
