Dexamethasone implant (Ozurdex® Allergan) is a biodegradable drug delivery system which is an effective treatment in cases of macular edema. However, migration of the implant into the anterior chamber might occur as a rare complication. In this report we describe a case of anterior chamber migration of a dexamethasone implant in a 64-year-old woman with macular edema due to Irvine Gass Syndrome who previously underwent a scleral-fixated lens implantation. Two weeks after an uneventful intravitreal Ozurdex implantation, the patient presented with painless visual loss. Slit-lamp examination revealed the presence of corneal edema associated with the implant in the anterior chamber which was surgically removed. We discuss the risk factors, clinical course, and complications of migration of a dexamethasone implant into the anterior chamber and subsequent management options. Keywords : Dexamethasone implant, anterior chamber migration
