Arteriovenous malformations (AVM's) are rare, congenital and usually unilateral lesions which are frequently seen without symptom Local or diffuse dilated, tortuous vessels are prominent sign of AVM and sometimes arteriovenous communication may be present in AVM. Herein we present 49-year-old male patient with AVM who developed serous macular neuroretinal detachment, cystoid macular edema (CME) and consequent visual loss in the right eye. Serous retinal detacment and CME regressed spontaneously in three days. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of a patient with spontaneous regression of CME secondary to AVM which is shown by fluoresceine angiography (FA) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Keywords : Arteriovenous malformations, cystoid macular edema
