The visual acuity in the both eyes were 1/10. In the fundus examination, diabetic papillopathy was evident in the right eye, as well as proliferative diabetic retinopathy in both eyes. The patient underwent single intravitreal injection of ranibizumab (0.5 mg) in the right eye. The swelling of the optic disc significantly resolved at the second week following injection. Her visual acuity was found to improve to 5/10 at one month after injection. Intravitreal ranibizumab injection could be considered as an efficient therapeutic option in diabetic papillopathy.
