Application of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Inhibitor in the Treatment of Age Related Macular Degeneration: who are Nonresponder and Poor Responder Patients?

Especially after the approval of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitors in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), intravitreal drug injections have been started to be used more frequently in the treatment of macular diseases in the last decade. In this review, drug nonresponse and poor response were discussed in the perspective of studies about VEGF inhibitors used in exudative AMD treatment.
