³M.D. Professor, Hitit University Training and Research Hospital, Eye Clinic, Corum/TURKEY A 36 year-old patient with a small premacular haemorrhage which occured in his left eye secondary to Valsalva retinopathy was presented. Visual acuity of the patient improved to 20⁄20 and the hemorrhage resolved completely at the end of four months follow-up. Valsalva retinopathy may occur as a sudden, dramatic loss of central vision due to the premacular location of the haemorrhage. Haemorrhages of less than one disk diameter tend to spontaneously resolve in progress of time and a conservative approach yields generally favourable prognosis.
