THE EVALUATION OF PIGMENT EPITHELIAL RUPTURE WITH INDOCYANINE GREEN ANGIOGRAPHY

İ.Ü.CTF Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı Pigment epithelial rupture (PER) that develops in exudative age related macular degeneration (AMD) is not common disorder. PER were found fluorescein angiographically in 6 cases (1.03%) of 580 eyes with AMD in addition to visual acuity was less than in one case with a fibrovascular membrane with foveal extention. In fluorescein angiography, choroidal neovascularization was not detected under ruptured area. Whereas in indocyanine green angiography (ICG-A), spot choroidal neovascularization was detected in two cases (33.3%).
