Filiz AFRASHİ1, Jale MENTEŞ1, Cezmi AKKIN1
Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları AD., İzmir Purpose: To present two patients with unilateral acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE)

Method: Case report

Results: 33 and 59 -year-old women with unilateral decreased visual acuity were examined. Paramacular, multifocal, yellow-white lesions were detected in both eyes and macular serous detachment in one of them. Fluorescein angiograpy has revealed hypofuorescence at the early phase and hyperfluorescence at the late phase in both eyes. The patients were evaluated as unilateral APMPPE by characteristic fundus lesions and fluorescein angiographic features.

Conclusion: APMPPE may be uncommon seen unilaterally. Keywords : Acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy
