Progression Of Retinopathy And Visual Prognosis In Pseudophakik Diabetik Patients

SB Ankara Hast Göz Kliniği The postoperative visual acuities of 35 eyes of 29 diabetic patients and 35 eyes of 30 nondiabetic patients who had extracapsular cataract extraction were evaluated. The progression of diabetic retinopathy is monitored in postoperative 16±3.92 months and compared with the other eye. There was no statistically significant difference between the final visual acuities of diabetic and nondiabetic patients. We found asimetric statistically significant progression in diabetic retinopathy in the operated eye. Keywords : Diabetic Retinopathy, Cataract Extraction
