Production of a +20 D Lens by Local Abilities to be Used in Indirect Ophthalmoscopy

Purpose: In this study we aimed to produce +20 D lens by local abilities, and to evaluate its efficiency and comfort in the clinical practice .
Method: The lens which was planned to be used in indirect ophthalmoscopy had done by ISOP AS, which is a spectacle lens producing company in Isparta - Türkiye. It has been evaluated for some optical properties and comfort in clinical practice.
Results and Discussion: Spheric aberrations was found to be sufficiently low, field of vision and magnification were found to be sufficient. The lens which is subject to study is sufficient for diagnostic usages and it is currently being used in our clinic.
