KTÜ Tıp Fak. Göz Hastalıkları AD. Two important complication casing visual loss in retinal branch vein occlusion are vitreous hemmorrhage due to retinal neovascularisation and macular edema. We searched possible preventive effect of total posterior vitreous detachement over the both complications with prospectively and found that, both complications has occured in lower incidence in total PVD cases than in non-PVD cases.
