Method: Clinical, ultrasonographic and angiographic data of patients were reviewed.
Cases: All patients were female. Mean age of patients was 21±14.,7 (10-36 year). Choroidal osteoma was unilateral in 2 patients and bilateral in 1 patient. Bilateral peripapillary choroidal osteomas associated with posterior staphyloma in the right eye were observed. Large choroidal osteoma extended into foveal region in one patient. Choroidal neovaskülarizasyon developed in one patient.
Discussion: Choroidal osteoma is a rare benign osseous tumor typically found in healthy young women. Patients must be followed up for enlargement of the tumor and for especially development of choroidal neovascularization. Choroidal osteoma associated with posterior staphyloma and choroidal neovascularization might cause a poor vision. Keywords : choroidal osteoma
