Fluoroquinolones are broad spectrum, bactericidal agents widely used to treat bacterial infections and postoperative prophylaxis of the eye. White precipitations in the corneal epithelium occur rarely in intensive doses. In this case report, ciprofloxacin precipitates are presented in a patient who had corneal epithelial defects during pars plana vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy, and predisposing factors such as history of adenoviral keratoconjunctivitis, diabetic endoepitheliopathy, scraping the corneal epithelium and old age have been discussed. Keywords : Ciprofloxacin, adverse effect, corneal precipitates
