A retinal zone affected in acute branch retinal artery occlusion is usually visualized as white due to intracellular edema. While recanalization of the occluded artery usually results in minimal ophthalmoscopic signs, sometimes these signs are not found. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) findings in acute branch retinal artery occlusion demonstrate increased reflectivity and thickness of the inner retina, and decreased reflectivity in the outer retina and retinal pigment epithelium-choriocapillaris layer. On the other hand, late OCT findings demonstrate decreased reflectivity and thickness of the inner retina layers, and decreased reflectivity of the outer retinal layers and retinal pigment epithelium- choriocapillaris layer compared to OCT findings in the acute phase. In this study, acute phase, 1st month, 3rd month, and 6th month OCT findings of 3 cases of retinal artery occlusion were evaluated prospectively. Keywords : Optical coherence tomography, branch retinal artery occlusion
