A Case of Optic Nerve Avulsion

An 11-year-old male, who was admitted with the complaint of sudden unilateral visual loss after blunt trauma, was diagnosed with presumed optic nerve avulsion based on clinical and ultrasonographic findings. Colored Doppler ultrasonography revealed variations in the flow rate and indexes of ophthalmic artery and central retinal artery when compared with the contralateral normal eye, and these variations changed during the follow-up.
