Spontaneous Closure in Traumatic Macular Holes and a Case Report

Spontaneous closure of traumatic macular holes is common. In the literature a high rate of spontaneous closure is reported for traumatic macular holes with a size of 0.1- 0.23 disc diameters in a follow up period of 1 to 8 months. In this study, an 8 years old patient with a traumatic 640 x 590 microns macular hole which resolved spontaneously in 1 month is presented. Keywords : Macular hole, trauma, spontaneous closure
