Investigation Of The Site Of Occlusion Central Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion

In this study, 72 eyes of the 68 cases with Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion followed up at Cerrahpaşa Medical School Department of Ophthalmology were investigated for characteristics of clinical form of the site of occlusion. For this purpose the fundus fluorescein angiography of the cases were evaluated retrospectically. In 86.1 percent of these cases artery was overcrossing vein at the site of arteriovenous ischemic form was found in 86.1 percent of the cases at the first occlusion and 67.2 percent of the cases at the occlusion before the first bifurcation. The rate of occlusion of ischemic and eudematous type was similar when the lumen of artery and/or vein were narrowed. Keywords : Arteriovenous Crossing, Central Retinal Vein Occlusion
